In 1978, three men came together to cut the ribbon on a new arts center. Little did they know that, more than 40 years later, their legacy would be more vital than ever. Kermit the Frog, Jim Henson, and Vince Anthony were the founders of the Center for Puppetry Arts, and their work has had a lasting impact on both the local community and the puppetry community at large. Today, the Center produces 600+ performances a year, offers 50+ types of educational programs, and is home to more than 5000 puppets and artifacts. Thanks to their innovative digital platform, they are able to reach audiences in all 50 states and nine countries. The Center for Puppetry Arts is a true testament to the power of collaboration – and it is clear that the best is yet to come.
